Sarah Paulson will be busier this season on “American Horror Story” because she is set to play another character. More thrilling to that news is Paulson will be bringing a familiar personality that has graced the series back in season one.
Entertainment Weekly reports that psychic Billie Dean Howard, who served as a confidante of Constance Langdon (Jessica Lange) in the first season, will make an appearance on the finale of “American Horror Story: Hotel”. EW reveals that in the episode, audiences will learn that Billie Dean has her own reality series where she showcases her psychic abilities. The character then sees the potential of the Cortez as a good setting for one of her show’s episodes.
Meanwhile, Vanity Fair notes that Paulson’s reprisal of the Billie Dean role is not the first time that “American Horror Story” circled back to “AHS: Murder House”.
The website points out that realtor Marcy (Christine Estabrook) and Murder House resident Dr. Montgomery (Matt Ross) both showed up this season.
Vanity Fair also highlights that Sarah Paulson is not the first actor to take on two roles this season. The website notes that Finn Wittrock portrayed both hotshot actor Rudolph Valentino and the bad boy model Tristan.
E! Online also lists down some of the moments when ‘American Horror Story” tied its story lines to different seasons. The website lists down Lily Rabe and Naomi Grossman appearing both in “AHS: Asylum” and “AHS: Freak Show” as Sister Mary Eunice and Pepper, respectively.
Until the season finale comes, Paulson plays the character of drug addict Sally McKenna. It is a must-see on how the actress will pull off playing two different characters and whether a scene will feature both Billy Dean Howard and Sally together.
“American Horror Story: Hotel” airs every Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on FX. It stars Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Matt Bomer, Evan Peters, and Wes Bentley.
