George Clooney’s wife Amal is “ready” to be a mother and the couple is reportedly planning to have a baby soon.
“Amal is proud not only to be the woman that caught George after all these years, but also the only one he’s considered having kids with…She is more than ready to be a mother,” US Weekly quoted a source saying.
“They decided that it would be the right time. Amal isn’t taking on extra work at the moment and just continuing with the cases she has.”
OK! Magazine said it appears Clooney may have changed his mind about becoming a parent. The 54-year-old actor has previously told “CBS This Morning” that he wants to have children but it “hasn’t been high” on his list of priorities.
Clooney’s desire to start a family has something to do with the couple’s friends who have children, US Weekly said.
A source said the actor “loves the relationships his friends have with their kids. George is ready for this step and he thinks that Amal will be a great mother.”
US Weekly also reported the couple is making sure that their plan to have a family will come true.
“They recently visited a fertility center. This is something they really want,” the site quoted another source.
The insider also revealed that the couple’s $15 million 17th century mansion in Berkshire, England is currently undergoing renovations and added, “The building plans include a nursery. They hope to have all the work done by Christmas.”
Meanwhile, People magazine reported that George and his 37-year-old British-Lebanese lawyer wife are having a vacation in Italy. The couple was joined by George’s parents and older sister, Adelia, Amal’s sister, Tala as well as actor Ellen Barkin in a meal at Gatto Nero.
The couple tied the knot in September last year in a lavish ceremony in Italy. It is the first marriage for Amal and second for George.
