Iraq’s Transport Minister Kazem Finjan claims that the first airport in the world was built by ancient aliens. According to Minister Finjan, the aliens built an airport for interplanetary transport 7,000 years ago in the Middle East.

The statement was given during a press conference to announce the creation of a modern-day airport in Dhi Qar, southern Iraq. The Transport Minister adds that the area of the would-be airport is the same area aliens used to launch spacecrafts to discover Pluto in 5,000 BC as well as the mythical planet Nibiru, better known as Planet X.

“The first airport that was established on planet earth was in this place. It was constructed 5,000 years before Christ,” Finjan told the press. “The particularity of this place is that it remains the safest for the landing and takeoff of aircraft due to favorable weather conditions. When the Sumerians settled on this land, they were aware of this and have chosen it specifically for their flights to other planets.”

Iraq’s Transport Minister insists those who doubt his announcement to read the book of the great Sumerian historian Zecharia Sitchin or the books of Samuel Kramer, which include a book named  ‘History begins at sume’. Finjan says that the book tells of the very first airport built on our planet.

Social media users made fun of his statement. They say that the Minister’s hallucinations prove that the current government is foolish.

Iraqi Al Jazeera journalist Amer Al-Kubaisi also said, “Can you believe that this imbecile is the current Iraqi transportation minister? I thank Allah for the blessing of a brain.”

Researcher Hayder al-Khoei of the Centre for Academic Shi’a Studies tweeted: “Awkward moment and I don’t think anyone was brave enough to contradict him.”

Nevertheless, alien enthusiasts support Finjan’s revelation. Among them is Scott C Waring of, who said that the carvings and depictions of flying machines prove that the Sumerians have the technology to accomplish the feats Finjan said.
