‘Agents of SHIELD’ Season 3 Adds Female ‘Flash’? Secret Warriors Team is Growing

Agents of SHIELD

Second half of “Agents of SHIELD” Season 3 will soon be upon us and we are definitely eager to know how Slingshot’s character shapes up.

Portrayed by Natalia Cordova-Buckley, Slingshot is dubbed as the female “Flash” thanks to the very similar superpowers. As noted by Christian Today, after having recruited Lincoln (Luke Mitchell) and Joey (Juan Pablo Raba), Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennet) would like to bring in Yo Yo Rodriguez a.k.a. Slingshot to add to her team of Secret Warriors. As earlier reports indicated, Cordova-Buckley had begun shooting for the very popular ABC show back in January. So, we are sure to witness Daisy enlisting more Inhumans to her growing team, when Season 3B returns.

Those not in the know, Slingshot has the same superpowers as “The Flash” with one difference; she has to return to the same place where she took off from, hence her name. In Marvel comics, Yo Yo happens to be the daughter of a big criminal, John Horton. Thanks to her altered DNA, Yo Yo possess the power to move around at the speed of light. While Daisy was definitely sidetracked from all the recruiting when SHIELD was attacked by Ward and Hydra in the first half of the season, it appears that all eyes will be on Yo Yo now who would definitely make a great addition to her Secret Warriors team.

In the meantime, Entertainment Weekly has given eager fans a sneak-peek into the mid-season premiere; the episode titled “Bouncing Back,” which will run in March. The synopsis of the episode reads as follows: “In the aftermath of his trip to Maveth, Coulson is more determined than ever to get to Gideon Malick and put an end to Hydra once and for all. Daisy and the team encounter more Inhumans who have powers like they’ve never seen before, but will they be friends or enemies of S.H.I.E.L.D.?”

This does increase our curiosity up another notch. Fans can catch “Agents of SHIELD” Season 3 on March 8 on ABC at 9 p.m. EST.
