By now, fans must have gotten over the heartbreak of Agent Carter‘s cancellation. However, even though all hope seems lost, it appears there’s still a tiny glimmer of chance that Agent Carter season 3 could happen.

The revelation comes from Agent Carter herself, Hayley Atwell. The actress shared a lot of details about the show’s fate in an interview with Comic Book Resources (CBR). One of the points she raised highlighted the fact that many people still love the show and its characters. Hence, she didn’t dismiss the possibility of doing something related to Agent Carter “with another network”.

True enough, this is a possibility. If Agent Carter finds a new home aside from ABC, it wouldn’t be the first show to get such treatment. An article from Cheat Sheet even lists eight un-canceled shows. Meaning, despite these shows original cancellations in their original networks, they soon found homes in another.

One of the most notable series in the list is AMC’s The Killing. AMC canceled the Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman thriller twice. The first of those cancellations was reversed. Meanwhile, after the final cancellation, Netflix picked up the show for its final run.

Therefore, Agent Carter still has a chance somewhere.

Agent Carter season 3

In addition to the possibility of a third season, a special may also be in the cards. Atwell had this to say about such potential, via CBR:

“I would love it to be. I hound [Marvel Studios co-president Louis] D’Esposito on a regular basis, saying, “Give me a movie!” I think the great thing about Peggy is, we know from “[Captain America: The] Winter Soldier” that she lives a long life, so she can come back. I’m banking on, when I’m in my fifties, I’m like, ‘This is the time. Let’s see what Peggy’s up to in this decade.'”

However, though all of these may appear as wishful thinking on Atwell’s part, fans never know. With the actress’ dedication to the role, it won’t be hard to create new content with the character.
