Adidas fans get ready! The famous brand is unveiling its new Adidas NMD Winter Wool Collection this weekend.
The Adidas NMD Winter Wool Collection includes the NMD_R1 Winter Wool and the NMD City Sock Winter Wool. Both Primeknit editions are bolstered with a wool upper to withstand the cold weather of the upcoming season.
The NMD_R1 Winter Wool features a mix of wool yarn and breathable Primeknit materials in Core Black colorway. Moreover, the black accents have been added on the EVA inserts on the midsole, heel, inner liner and on the rubber outsole. The only contrast can be seen in the Boost midsole, which is constructed in white.
Adidas wrote the Boost energy-returning properties of this model will keep your every step charged with unlimited supply of energy.
Meanwhile, the NMD City Sock Winter Wool version almost has the same features as the NMD_R1 Winter Wool. It comes in a mix of warm wool yarn and breathable Adidas Primeknit material in Core Black too. There are more black accents on the EVA inserts on the midsole, heel, inner liner and outsole. A white Boost midsole provides contrast.
In addition, the sock-like construction of the City Sock enhances fit on your feet.
Both the NMD_R1 Winter Wool and the NMD City Sock Winter Wool will be available starting on Friday (Sept. 9). You can grab a pair of NMD_R1 Winter Wool at the official Adidas website for the price of $170 a pair. The NMD City Sock Winter Wool, on the other hand, costs $190.
More new Adidas NMD R1 colorways are coming next month. Sneakers News noted that Adidas NMD R1 was inspired from the three classics from the mid-80s – the Adidas Micropacer, the Adidas Rising Star and the Adidas Boston Super. All of these served as inspirations behind the NMD models along with the use of the latest technologies of Primeknit and Boost.
In July, Adidas also released two NMD models – the PK OG White and the City Sock. Adidas has yet to announce when Adidas NMD Panda will be available to the public. There have been rumors that it could also drop this month.
