Miranda Lambert performing in Dallas, TX

The ACM 2016 red carpet arrived with a bang. Plunging necklines, sexy slits and sparkles were seemed to be the trends in the recent Awards Night last Sunday in Las Vegas.

Opening the ACM 2016 was the performance by Luke Bryan with his “Hungtin’, Fishin, and Lovin’ Everyday” that brought the audience to their feet, clapping and singing along, including Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood, as reported by  ET Online.

The ACM 2016 was attended by Miranda Lambert, who started the plunging fashion this year in her bright yellow dress, along with her seriously sultry slit and neckline. Kacey Musgraves also followed in her black dress with a deep neckline, going for a vamp style, with her dark makeup and slicked back tresses.

Country music favorite singer Carrie Underwood shined in her sheer, gold dress with the sparkly detailing throughout. Although Carrie seemed to be almost outdone by Nicole Kidman, who came to the show with husband Keith Urban. Nicole’s sparkling look had sheer sections, including a pretty intricate pattern throughout.

The biggest surprise during the ACM Night was Katy Perry, who came to the show in her neon blue jacket and a skirt combo. Katy was in a completely country look with her pair of cowgirl boots and a huge belt buckle.

Song of the Year award went to Chris Stapleton,  for the song “Nobody to Blame”, a moving song written, co-written by Ronnie Bowman about the reason he got into writing music. Stapleton also won the Album of the Year award for “Traveler.”

The Record of the Year award was given to Thomas Rhett for “Die a Happy Man”. Rhett thanked his wife in his speech and said that he had written the song for her, according to  CBS News.

ACM 2016 Female Vocalist of the Year went to Kelsea Ballerini who also performed “Peter Pan” and “Love Me Like You Mean It”, featuring a guitar solo by Nick Jonas then later joined by Ballerini with vocals.
