Rumors regarding 5SOS split began to invade the Internet after the group wrapped up the Sounds Live Feels Live world tour. However, the latest scoop claims that lead singer Luke Hemmings and drummer Ashton Irwin are now planning to become a duo.

The Australian rock quartet has been together since they became famous through YouTube. They have been through thick and thin from the moment One Direction invited them up to the peak of their success.

However, fans of the pop punk band may be in dismay after hearing the rumors. Is it true that these two lads are ditching guitarist Michael Clifford and bassist Calum Hood?

According to Unreality TV, witnesses only see Hemmings and Irwin together. They even went to watch The Fray concert.

It is still unclear whether the 5SOS split news is true but it appears that they are just apart from each other, enjoying their respective vacations.

Clifford announced via Sugarscape that they will just take a quick break and then head back to the studio for their next material. It may be a good news indeed, apart from another rumor that they will be transitioning into the electronic genre.

“This year has been an incredible one for us, and although it’s not over yet, we’re looking forward to doing another tour again after we take some time off and write a new album,” the guitarist said. “It’s going to be a real opportunity to grow more as people and learn more about ourselves/the world.”
