The Australian pop rock band 5 Seconds of Summer, or simply 5SOS, performed live at the recent American Music Awards in LA. But during their press interview, Niall Horan of One Direction stumbled upon the boys. Does that mean that he would join the band?
Most definitely not, but Niall might have felt very happy after his group won 2 major awards during the event, so happy that he video bombed on 5SOS’ interview.
It seemed like he was in “high spirits,” describes Unreality TV UK.
“Hello! just thought I’d say hello…” Niall said to 5SOS members Michael Clifford and Luke Hemmings, while the interview was ongoing.
The lads then shared a hug, and the 1D member tried to speak in Australian accent, which sounded quite good.
Notably, Niall, Harry, Louis and Liam won as the Artist Of The Year and Favorite Duo/Group for pop/rock category. On the other hand, the band from the Land Down Under played “Hey Everybody” during the awards night.
Afterwards, the band was caught “fooling around backstage in mysterious silent clip.” Watch the video here.
Their sophomore album “Sounds Good Feels Good” has been available since October 23 in music shelves and via digital stream.
As for One Direction, “Made in the AM” had been defeated by Justin Bieber’s “Purpose.”
Despite their AMA victory, the Canadian Superstar crushed 1D at the Billboard 200 charts. JB outsold them by 200,000 copies. More than that, it was JB’s sixth album to hit at No. 1 on Billboard.
But Directioners can still keep on supporting their beloved boy band by purchasing their latest album, which includes the singles “Love You Goodbye,” “Never Enough” and “Perfect” on music stores and via iTunes.
