5SOS 2015: Michael Clifford Reveals Badass Secrets, Fave Food & Learning Japanese

Australian band 5 Seconds of Summer is one of today’s most adored pop rock group. While their image seems to be rockin’ and rollin’, guitarist Michael Clifford has something to reveal about his secret badass routine.

The 5SOS heartthrob straightforwardly answered the most “rock and roll” thing he has ever done:

“Go to bed at 9.30, which is way past my bedtime. We’re so un-rock n roll, we put the Disney Channel to shame,” the rocker revealed, quotes Unreality TV.

“I’ve always wanted to say I’ve thrown a TV out of a window, so maybe I should. But I know I’d apologise straight afterwards,” Clifford continued.

Michael, Calum, Ashton and Luke maybe rock-slash-popstars, but it’s good to know they’re good lads inside.

The 19-year old musician also told the source that he tried to learn Japanese but to no avail.

“I started to learn Japanese and then I stopped because I realised how hard it is. At first I was like ‘Yeah I can do this’ and then I was like ‘this is going to take me a very long time.’ So no I can’t [speak another language] but I tried.”

Good thing he tried, though.

Aside from sleeping early and learning Japanese, Clifford revealed his favorite comfort food that makes him “feel a little more human.”

“I’ll go for ice cream [when I’m stressed]. All of the flavours at once.”

This is probably the rocker’s go-to food when he was battling emotional issues earlier in the year.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that the band has named their fanbase the “New Broken Scene.”

“That came about because everyone was naming their fan bases and we found it a little lame, in all honesty,” the band revealed on Notion Mag, via Sugarscape.

5SOS’ new songs “Fly Away” and “Jet Black Heart” are now available on iTunes.
